- Zero‑tolerance: Any manuscript containing more than 15 % similarity to previously published work (excluding references and standard methodological descriptions) will be returned for revision or rejected.
- Screening: All submissions are automatically scanned using iThenticate/Turnitin.
- Self‑plagiarism: Re‑use of previously published text, figures, or tables must be fully cited and, where appropriate, permission obtained.
- Consequences: Confirmed plagiarism may lead to retraction, a ban on future submissions for up to 5 years, and notification of the authors’ institutions.
